Where do I get all the coupons?
So many of you want to get into the "coupon thing" but don't know where to start. One of the questions I often get asked is, "Where do you find the coupons?"
I have several sources for coupons...
1. The Sunday paper- I have a Thursday and Sunday subscription to the Star Ledger. It costs me $9.00 a month but I easily get that back with the money I save on the coupons. There are inserts in the Thursday paper too which many people don't realize. I will often go to the bagel store on a Sunday to pick up an extra paper if there are a lot of circulars that week.
2. My mom- She also has a Star Ledger subscription and she gives me the coupon inserts from her paper. You would be surprised how many people would give you their inserts if you just ask.
3. Internet Printables- there are so many FREE printable coupons on the internet. The best way to find what you need is to use a coupon database on websites like Living Rich With Coupons They have an index of all the available coupons that are out there in cyberspace.
4. Coupon Clipping Site- My friend Lisa introduced me to this method. This is a service that you pay for. I use The Coupon Clippers They sell for a low price coupons that they have clipped. So if you know there is a good sale coming and you need a certain coupon for it, you can order multiple copies of it from their site. They usually have it delivered to your door in just a few days.
Coming soon... a post on how to organize your coupons!

Free Stuff Times
One of my favorite pages on Facebook is Free Stuff Times. If you "like" their page, they will send updates to your newsfeed with all of the free deals that they find on the internet and at stores.
They have a website outside of Facebook too. The Free Stuff Website contains all sorts of deals for your favorite stores.
For example, they listed all of the deals for Target this week and I was able to find coupons for free stuff there. This week with the printable Rimmel coupon and the printable Target coupon you can get Rimmel makeup for free. Follow THIS LINK to get the printable coupons that you will need to complete the deal.

Listia.com "Give and Get Free Stuff"
One of my favorite websites is Listia.com
Their philiosophy is simple "Give and Get Free Stuff."
Here is how it works. When you join the site they will give you free credits. You use those credits to purchase items that are listed by others. You earn credits by "selling" items that you don't need. It is kind of an Ebay but without the money.
For example, I purchase cases of Coke. They come with Coke Rewards points. I don't use the points so I list the code on Listia for "sale". People bid on the auction with their credits. The highest bidder wins and I email them the code. I get to keep the credits.
I have "sold" enough of them on Listia to save up my credits to get a FREE $30 Target gift card!
Give the site a try and get tons of free stuff plus you can unload some of those things you don't need anymore.

Smart Phone Bargain Hunting
Today's blog post was suggested by my husband Aaron. He has jumped on the bargain hunting bandwagon.
Aaron has found an app for his iphone (works for any smartphone) that helps you search for the best prices in your area.
It is a FREE app called RedLaser from Occipital. You use your smartphone camera to scan UPC codes from items. After scanning the item your phone will tell you what item you scanned and the best prices tat can be found online and in your local area.
We tried it with a box of Children's Claritan. Aaron loaded the app and scanned the UPC code on the box. The app that told him what item he scanned and the best prices that could be found.
This is what came up...
The app told us that the best price could be found at Target locally and at Facevaluesonline.com online.

Zulily
One of my favorite websites for baby and children's items. If you sign up to be on their email list they will send you an email every morning with the deals for the day. The website features all sorts of small businesses that you normally would not come across on your own internet searches.
Click here to check out Zulily's site.
Here are some of the items that were featured in today's email:
